“Life’s too short to not continually do stuff.”
Garrett’s home base is in Florida, but his spirit roams farther. He’s visited 26 countries—Japan, South Korea, and Iceland top his list—and he’s always learning, from Japanese to golf to new ways of seeing the world.
“The world is too small to not travel it and explore it and learn more from it. That’s my mentality on life.”
A Human Story, One Watch at a Time
By day, Garrett is “Goose” to his Navy crew’s “Maverick,” coordinating missions from the backseat of a P-8 aircraft. Off-duty, he’s got his hands full: golf, piano, anime puzzles, and the “virus of watches” that bit him hard. He’s owned everything from Fossils to a Breitling Navitimer (“Nice $10,000 on that one… Luckily, I was a little bit buzzed that I didn’t think about it”), picking up Seikos in Dubai and a Grand Seiko in Japan. But it’s not about price tags.
“To me, a watch will not only tell time… I like the feel of it. I like the look of it and expressing myself through the watch.”
Finding Wolf Watch Club
Garrett found Wolf Watch Club through his friend Jory, The Time Teller. At first, he was skeptical, but he trusted the community. “When it was Jory or the Time Teller that posted it, I’m going to trust what he posts… as a content creator, I think he does some really good stuff.”
What stands out most for Garrett is the sense of fairness and community. He applauds Mark for keeping draws honest—even refunding big-ticket buyers to keep things fair: “Good on you for doing this. You gotta tell the story!”
He shares Wolf with friends, even knowing it might hurt his odds.
“Part of me is like, I don’t want to tell anybody. But then I kind of go back to fate—if someone else goes in there and buys one ticket, I bought five and they win it, maybe they deserved it better than I did. So I just tell people still.”
A Collector—and a Human—First
Garrett is a collector, but above all, he’s human. He sums up his philosophy simply:
“You don’t let yesterday’s failures impede today’s successes. If you go with the flow and don’t take life too seriously, the world is your oyster.”
