Rolex Submariner Date "Hulk"

Peter Vanwingh, winner of the Rolex Submariner Date "Hulk" #31

Peter Vanwingh

Belgium

Peter Vanwingh lives in Belgium, in the Dutch-speaking region near Holland. He’s married and has three children, two of his own and one from his wife’s previous marriage. His wife is an architect, and together they run a renovation business focused on planning, coordination, and financial oversight, working closely with construction companies and project developers.

His work keeps him busy, but when he has time away from it, Peter enjoys being social and spending time with friends, especially during holidays. He and his family also have a place in Spain, where they spend around two months each year, and enjoying the wonderful weather. Peter speaks Dutch as his native language, is fluent in French through his work in the French region, has professional experience in German from working at a German company, speaks English, and is currently learning Spanish.
Peter has always had an appreciation for classis cars and likes going to race tracks and car meetings to try out different models. That same mindset carries into how he approaches watches.

“Wear your watches. Drive your cars. Enjoy what you own.”

Watches have been part of Peter’s life since he was young. His first meaningful watch was a Rodania, gifted to him by his parents when he was twelve. As he started working, his collection gradually grew to around ten to fifteen watches, which he rotates regularly.

Because of his work, Peter attends many networking meetings and is often around people wearing high-end watches. Over time, that exposure increased his interest in luxury watches. Last year, he successfully purchased a Rolex Root Beer from AD and was on the waitlist for a Green Rolex Submariner. He later received a call for a black Submariner but passed, as he wanted a green dial. Although he could have bought it and flipped it for profit, he chose not to.

Peter discovered Wolf Watch Club through Instagram, but he didn’t enter right away. He took the time to do his research. He read winner stories, watched YouTube live competitions, and paid close attention to how the platform communicated with its members.

“I had a good feeling about Wolf Watch Club.”

His caution came from experience. Around the same time, he bought his Root Beer, Peter also won a Rolex Hulk through another raffle website. That watch was never shipped, and the raffle later turned out to be a scam. Because of that, he was especially careful this time.

Peter has participated in two Wolf Watch Club competitions so far: the Rolex Hulk and the Rolex Submariner Date. He only enters competitions for watches he genuinely likes.

“I like to play in watches I like.”

For the Hulk competition, Peter purchased a total of eleven entries using a system he enjoys. Rather than buying all at once, he prefers stacking entries in groups of three and adding on gradually. He likes that stacking provides better discounts and also used his Wolf Points toward additional entries. One of his entries ended up costing only ten dollars after points.

“I checked and the final entry was the winning one!!!”

“It felt like I had only bought one entry.”

Because of the time difference, the competition took place after midnight for Peter, so he wasn’t watching live. He found out the next morning when he saw the email from Wolf Watch Club. Wanting to be sure, he went back and watched the recording.

“I must have watched the video ten times, right around the moment they announced my name.”

He told his wife, who remembered the previous experience with the other raffle.

“She told me to wait until the watch arrives.”

Peter showed her the recording.

“Look, it’s on YouTube.”

That helped make the moment feel real, even if there was still some disbelief.
Peter values transparency above all. One feature he highlighted immediately was the ten percent entry cap.

“It keeps things fair and transparent.”

He’s not a fan of platforms without limits and appreciates that Wolf Watch Club offers a wide range of watches, from entry-level luxury and mid-range pieces to true grail watches.

Reflecting on the experience, Peter feels confident in Wolf Watch Club’s process and transparency. His Wishlist still includes watches like the Rolex Batgirl, the Day-Date in rose gold with a green dial, the Omega Seamaster 007, and the Rolex OP, with a green-dial Submariner remaining a standout favorite.

For Peter, winning the Rolex Hulk wasn’t just about the watch, it was about winning something he wanted for a long time, and enjoying it.
