Submariner Date Starbucks

Winner Story: Gregory Lewandowski
Gregory Lewandowski manages wealth for individuals. He knows the value of a good investment — in markets, and in moments.
“My watch journey started in 2016, when I got my first AMG C63S. The AMG had an IWC clock in the dash… so naturally, I had to have an IWC on my wrist. The Portugieser was my first watch, and it set me up on this whole journey.”
From there, he dove in. “The more I learn about the art and construction that goes into these things, the deeper the passion gets.” He moved from being “an Apple Watch guy, full disclosure” to wearing pieces that “give me confidence when I meet my clients. I’m wearing art. If you want accuracy, wear quartz.”
A friend turned him on to Wolf Watch Club. He played in one competition — the OP41 (“didn’t win”) — before the Starbucks caught his eye.
“Every time my wife and I go to Starbucks in the morning, it’s a 3.5 mile walk. This watch is going to become my morning walk watch.”
The Starbucks had been on his AD’s list for a long time.
“I have GMTs, Date Justs… my Rolex AD knows it’s on my list. When I saw this competition, I thought: let’s go all in. I dropped the max 25 entries.”
On competition day, he couldn’t watch live.
“I clicked on the live competition at 3:10 PT and it was finishing the live. In the comments I saw ‘congrats,’ ‘congrats,’ ‘POLISH POWER,’ ‘Gregory.’ I rewound a few minutes back and I see Jory saying ‘Mazel Tov brother’ and I hear him say my name. I won! I always wondered what that feeling could be. It’s disbelief and then the excitement. I called my friend, rewound the video 20 more times and had him listen to it. I won the watch.”
“Dealing with Wolf has been easy and seamless. I’ve already told my wealthy friends about it. This lights up a fire.”
Because sometimes you don’t just buy a watch — you buy the story you’ll tell twenty times over.
