Tudor Luna 1926 Moon Phase

Bill (From Ontario, Canada), winner of the Tudor Luna 1926 Moon Phase #41

Bill (From Ontario, Canada)

Based in Toronto, Bill’s appreciation for watches began more than
twenty years ago, early in his career. At the time, it was
interest rather than active collecting, but that spark never
faded.
Over the years, that interest deepened and naturally became
something he shared with his family.
“I spread the watch bug to my sons.”
Today, all of his sons have built collections of their own,
turning watches into a shared passion at home.
“I love sharing my passion with my family.”
“My wife also enjoys a nice timepiece to wear.”
As his career progressed, so did his approach to watches. Rather
than sticking to one style or category, he’s always been drawn to
discovery.
“I’m always looking for something new and interesting.”
“My taste in watches has changed over time.”
That curiosity is reflected in a collection shaped by decades of
thoughtful collecting and a deep appreciation for mechanical
complexity. His watches include a Rolex Daytona, a 35th
Anniversary OMEGA Speedmaster, an IWC Portugieser, and a Panerai submersible.
Beyond wristwatches, his fascination with horology extends to
clocks as well; most notably with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos.
“Reading about watches and collecting them is fun.”
“The way you see what media has done over time for the
watch world—it’s amazing.”
A longtime admirer of moonphase watches and mechanical
complications, the Tudor Luna immediately stood out to him. The
design and complication aligned perfectly with his evolving
tastes.
He first discovered Wolf Watch Club through Instagram and has
been participating since near the beginning. What immediately
caught his attention was the format.
“When I saw it was this type of competition, I was very
interested.”
“It’s a potential win—I don’t mind spending a little
money.”
Before each competition, he takes time to review what’s coming up and
decides which pieces genuinely appeal to him.
“Every time there’s a posting of what’s coming up, I
decide what I’m going to buy.”
When the competition took place, the moment came quietly.
“I was getting ready to go to bed, doing a last check of
my email.”
“I had to read it twice.”
“Then I went to my computer and logged in to verify—this
is real.”
Choosing the final configuration became a shared decision. His
initial instinct was a blue dial—a longtime favorite—but after
showing it to his wife, she encouraged him to see the watches in
person.
“I showed it to my wife, and she suggested we go look at
them.”
After visiting the boutique, the choice became clear.
“The reason I went with the champagne dial is because
the moonphase really stands out.”
Reflecting on the experience, he sees Wolf Watch Club as
something that enhances the joy of collecting rather than
complicating it.
“I want to thank Wolf Watch Club for doing this.”
“It’s intriguing and fun.”
For him, winning the Tudor Luna 1926 wasn’t just about adding
another watch—it was about curiosity, craftsmanship, and a
passion for horology that continues to connect generations.
