King Seiko

Watch & Competition Information
Prize:
King Seiko SPB387 — Charcoal Black
The rebirth of a legend. The King Seiko SPB387 revisits one of Seiko’s most iconic mid-century designs — the KSK of 1965 — reinterpreted for the modern collector with elevated finishing, precision, and poise.
Movement
Powered by the Caliber 6R55, this automatic movement offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours and supports manual winding. With 24 jewels and a precision range of +25 to -15 seconds per day, it combines traditional mechanical reliability with contemporary performance. A stop-seconds function allows for exact time setting.
Case & Design
Faithful to the original KSK’s sharp-edged architecture, the 38.3mm stainless-steel case captures the bold faceted lines and mirror-polished surfaces that defined King Seiko’s identity. Measuring just 11.7mm thick and 46mm lug-to-lug, it wears elegantly while maintaining a solid wrist presence.
The charcoal black dial adds understated depth, contrasting beautifully against the crisp metallic case and razor-edged hands.
Crystal & Details
A box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface ensures distortion-free visibility. LumiBrite on the hands offers subtle nighttime legibility without disturbing the dial’s vintage character.
Bracelet & Comfort
Secured by a stainless-steel bracelet with a deployment clasp and push-button release, the watch weighs a comfortable 139 grams. Quick-release spring bars make strap changes effortless for those who prefer a more personal touch.
